Best Amazon Prime Day Deals 2024: Golf Balls

A great golf ball for a range of handicaps

Rrp: £19.99

Price: £18.00
Aside from being great value, the TaylorMade RBZ Soft balls give you great distance off the tee thanks to their two-layer ionomer cover and high-energy react core. You’ll also get an incredibly soft greenside feel.

An incredibly soft-feeling golf ball for high-handicap golfers

Best soft-feel ball for high handicappers
Price: £24.99
A soft-feeling golf ball tends to be what most golfers desire, and the Callaway Supersoft certainly delivers a soft feel. which has seen this ball become one of the most popular in the game. This ball can be used by better golfers as well, however, it is probably most suited to high handicappers because of the low compression rating (38) which suits slower swing speeds.

The Supersoft has had an engine upgrade seeing the core work more efficiently than ever; resulting in an amazing ball from tee to green. Off the tee this ball produces competitive distance - for those with the optimum swing speed - but it is around the green where this ball really comes into its own. The Supersoft performs exceptionally well in the short game because of its soft feel and high level of control. If you often play with a colored golf ball you are spoiled for choice with the Supersoft range coming in a variety of colors in a matte finish.

Best for beginners and high-handicappers

Price: £21.98
The Callaway Warbird is amongst the best golf balls that are designed for maximum distance and the 2023 version is no different.

Made up of two layers, Callaway has used a large high-energy, highly-compressible core and HEX aerodynamics on the ionomer cover to maximize speed, carry, and launch, while reducing drag.

The two-piece Warbird is one of the best balls for beginners and high handicappers, as well as those with a slower swing speed providing exceptional distance and decent enough feel around the greens.

A distance ball with a great feel

Rrp: £21.99

Price: £16.27

Among the longest balls for 85mph driver swings

Price: £39.99
When the Chrome Soft first launched in 2014 the ball was made from four pieces. Today it has switched to a three-piece construction.

Low driver and iron spin, along with high launch, mean the Chrome Soft is a very straight and accurate ball, but full wedge shot spin and greenside control are lower than the tour preferred Chrome Soft X.

Callaway typically say this ball most suits golfers swinging driver at less than 100mph.

World's softest golf ball is perfect for slow swing speeds

Rrp: £18.68

Price: £14.99
If you are just starting out playing golf or are brand new to the game and do not yet have a completed swing, your swing may be quite slow, if this is the case then the Wilson Duo Soft will be perfect for you. The Wilson Duo Soft is specifically designed for golfers with slow swing speeds, as the world's softest golf ball with a 40 compression rating, this means the ball performs exceptionally well around the greens with high spin and good control.

The Duo Soft also performs really well off the tee with good distance and ball flight which ranks it highly amongst all golf balls it's a competitor to. Soft feeling golf balls are commonly more desirable than firmer feeling golf balls and so this makes for an exceptional ball for those who are just starting their golfing journey. This ball is so well-received even more accomplished golfers who play regularly with slow swing speeds use the Wilson Duo Soft.

Best Amazon Prime Day Deals 2024: Golf Tech

A user-friendly rangefinder with adjustable brightness for varying conditions

The Easygreen Vision Pro may not have some of the advanced features present in some more expensive rangefinders, but for the price, it’s a very solid option.

Its useability is a huge selling point with a larger-than-average eyepiece designed for a bolder display of the information on offer. The adjustable OLED brightness is also particularly useful, enabling you to optimize the brightness of the screen for varying weather conditions.

The Easygreen Vision Pro offers 6x magnification, which rivals most of the leading brands and makes it easy to lock on to the flag. The unit's pin-tracking technology will vibrate to let you know it’s locked on. The maximum yardage is around 275 yards to a flag, which isn’t as long as some, but should be plenty far enough for even the biggest of hitters.

A green LED flashes on the front of the unit to indicate that slope-adjusted measurements are not being used (for tournament play), but can be activated simply by holding down the slope button for four seconds.

Be aware that unlike some of the higher-priced rangefinders, the Vision Pro is only water-resistant, but unless you’re planning to use it in the bath, you should be fine. It comes with a carry case and clip to attach to your golf bag, which will help keep the rangefinder safe and dry.

GolfBuddy leads with "affordability" when describing the Laser Lite but that doesn’t mean this rangefinder isn’t packed with the shot-saving tech you would expect from more premium models.

This second iteration of the Laser Lite features a thinner and more compact design, shaving 15g in weight from its predecessor.

Weighing just 140g, this compact rangefinder can read distances from 2-800 yards and is accurate to one yard. It has a six-times magnification lens to make finding the target easy and easy-to-read wide LCD display.

The Laser Lite 2 has three targeting modes (standard, scan, and pin) and, thanks to both its pin finder vibration and ZST speed technology, you will easily and quickly lock on to your target. Slope-adjusted readings can also be powered on and off as required.

An IPX4 rating makes it suitable for use in light rain, while the hard-wearing carry case has a belt hook so you can attach it to your bag and an easy-access toggle so that you don’t have to zip the case up between shots. For the price, it’s a brilliant piece of kit.

This is a lot of GPS golf watch for the money – you can get this GolfBuddy Aim W11 for less than £200 now. I particularly liked the green contouring feature, especially when hitting your approach shots, as going for the pin is not always the best strategy.

Certainly, on the long putts, it also gives tremendous peace of mind. If you're like me, you start doubting yourself when it comes to reading greens.

The graphics are pretty good, and you get a hazard readout while you can manually alter the pin placement when it comes to getting the clubbing right on those all-important approaches.

In golf mode, you will get two rounds out of your battery, so not the longest-lasting power source, but that's not a problem.

There is also a pedometer option for those fitness-conscious golfers and an impressive course directory with free wireless updates available via Bluetooth with the smartphone app.

Mr old school of the best spiked golf shoes

Price: £149.41
With the Premiere series, FootJoy haven’t forgotten their routes and proves they remain the master of the classic model.

For all the traditional styling, Premiere is packed with innovation and ooze luxury thanks to hand-picked leather, calfskin detailing, and sheepskin lining. The Premiere is fully waterproof and the leather is surprisingly easy to keep clean.

The Premiere is 12 percent lighter than the popular DryJoys Tour, and is helped by the new VersaTrax+ outsole. The ‘anti-channeling tread pattern’ gave me excellent traction across the entire shoe and I never felt any risk of slipping.

I enjoyed how FootJoy mixed harder and softer TPU compounds to make the shoe as grippy and comfortable on hard surfaces as it is on the course.

I was impressed by the performance and overall comfort. FootJoy’s Ortholite FitBed, which gradually shapes to your foot, works brilliantly and is seriously clever tech.

All the benefits of a FootJoy shoe with a modern athletic look

Price: £114.13
When you think of FootJoy, chances are that you picture the more traditional footwear the brand is most renowned for. While FJ has produced athletic golf shoes before, they have always been more synonymous with models such as the Premiere Series and Traditions shoes.

But all that has changed with the introduction of FootJoy Fuel, the brand's most athletic shoe ever. Golf has seen an influx of new and returning players in the past two years and, with more and more youngsters taking up the game, FJ has cleverly decided to target that new, modern market with this bold model.

It is therefore no surprise FootJoy chose to adapt this model for the junior golf shoe market, and it's bound to be a hit with the kids, especially as it's worn by Will Zalatoris and Max Homa!

A friendly to hit draw biased driver for slower swing speeds

Best for off-centre contacts
Price: £305.00
The original Launch Pad concept aimed to help less skilled golfers get the ball airborne through a higher consistency of strike. This latest iteration builds on that fundamental goal, not only by creating something more aesthetically pleasing but by helping players overcome one of the most frustrating problems beginners and high-handicap golfers face…the slice.

Wilson’s research demonstrated that 68% of the shots hit by average golfers occurred out of the toe-half of the face. With this knowledge in mind, Wilson has created a face that’s 5% bigger, with a deeper toe section, ideal for both confidence and forgiveness. A cleverly designed face bulge (from toe to heel) helps disguise the Launch Pad’s closed face at address which contributed to shots finishing an average of 13.5 yards further left during our testing.

The price of the best putters has really skyrocketed in recent years, but the Cleveland HB soft is a fantastic budget option, with good deals available.

CNC-milled putters are very expensive to make as the block of steel needed to create a head in one piece is sizeable and therefore costly. Cleveland wanted to open up milled putters to everyone, so they developed a cost-effective way of making them.

Each head is first cast into shape, then to give the sharp-edged look and appeal of a premium putter the back is milled into a very precise and consistent shape, giving a cosmetic that just isn’t achievable with traditional hand finishing. Each face is then machined with an intricate groove pattern to boost consistency when putts aren't struck from the center of the face.

There are seven HB Soft Milled models, some are face balanced, most have toe hang and suit slight arc players, but all are classic designs with premium cosmetics.

Brilliantly combines comfort, style, and performance

Best spiked golf shoe for out-of-the-box comfort
Price: £80.30
Puma's Ignite range is a favorite among amateur golfers and a big hit with the younger generation. Ignite Articulate brilliantly combines comfort, style, and performance.

It has been designed to perform on any lie, with any stance, and any swing. This is the brand's most versatile version in the Ignite series and we can see why.

The slip-on design has plenty of heel support and cushioning for out-of-the-box comfort and we've never had any issues with pinching or blistering.

The Articulate's outsole has durable spikes that have been specifically placed to offer support through the golf swing and we had no issues with slipping or instability. Puma's special PU Foam provides excellent cushioning, making this one of the most comfortable shoes we've worn.

Like many of Adidas' golf shoes, the Tech Response features a supportive outsole from their line of running gear. The Bounce midsole makes for a super comfortable and responsive footbed and for me, it makes walking around the course a lot easier and pain-free.

In comparison to the more premium shoes Adidas offers, you can see a difference in the quality of the materials used in the upper and it sadly isn't waterproof. However, for the price you pay at $70, you can't go wrong and the shoe really delivers on the course which is what you want.

Pros

  • Good shoe for the price
  • Great grip
  • Lightweight

Cons

  • Materials of a lower quality

If it’s weightlessness you’re after, there really aren’t many better options than the carbon fiber chassis Mizuno K1-LO. The bag is ridiculously light, at 2.65lb (1.2kg) it is one of the lightest bags I've ever used. Mizuno managed to strip the golf bag apart for every last gram, but keep all the essential features golfers need.

If you pack nothing but the essentials the K1-LO will be a joy to walk the course with, especially with the high-density foam straps which sit so well on your shoulders and have 4 points of adjustability.

The 7-inch 5-way club divider leaves plenty of room for a full set and is shaped to prevent your clubs from constantly smacking against one another.

Pros

  • Padding on straps and back
  • Super lightweight
  • Strong carbon fiber chassis

Cons

  • Not as much storage as some other bags

The G30 is five years old now and while the graphics look a bit dated, its enduring popularity is well merited.
Ease of use is certainly a major factor behind its success.

The device automatically detects which course you are on, its compact – which means it slips nicely into any pocket or can be clipped ton your bag – and it can store up to four people’s scores.

Like all Garmin devices the battery life is also substantial and also durable. Garmin devices are never cheap but then they are built to last.

The Gen3+ system includes 14 ultra-light sensors (one for every club in your bag), that screw into the top of your clubs and track the GPS position of your ball across every shot throughout your round.

The innovative system then utilizes this information to analyze the strokes gained metrics so you can easily identify the aspects of your game that need improvement.

Setting up the system and pairing your sensors is a relatively straightforward process, and once you’ve arrived at the club, all you need to do is select the course you are about to play on your smartphone or watch.

Simply open the App once back in the clubhouse to have access to a vast range of stats to help you make better golfing decisions.
