Today’s Golfer takes a look inside the bag of LPGA Tour veteran and serial winner Danielle Kang
Jump To: Kang’s WITB
Danielle Kang is somewhat of a veteran on the LPGA Tour, her rookie year was in 2012. It took Kang a few years to break into the winner’s circle, but she finally did in 2017 by winning the KPMG Women’s PGA Championship – the American’s most impressive victory to date.
Becoming a Major Champion is something every golfer dreams of, and after achieving that dream in 2017 Kang earned a place on the 2017 USA Solheim Cup Team where she helped her team to victory. The Californian-born golfer was also part of the 2019, 2021, and 2023 USA Solheim Cup Team – unfortunately, all ended in defeat.
Life on the LPGA Tour has been very up and down for Kang. After winning her first event in 2017 she had to wait over a year for the next to come. She emerged victorious at the inaugural 2018 Buick LPGA Shanghai, beating a whole host of top players by two strokes. A year after this win, she won the same event in 2019, for her third victory on the LPGA Tour.
Her most recent victory came at the 2022 Hilton Grand Vacations Tournament of Champions. This victory came over a year after her back-to-back wins at the 2020 LPGA Drive On Championship and Marathon Classic. In between Kang’s six LPGA Tour victories, her seasons have been littered with top 10 finishes, overall she’s closed out a tournament in the top 10 on 57 occasions.
Despite not being in the winner’s enclosure since January 2022, Kang did enough again this year to earn a spot at the 2023 Solheim Cup. As the oldest member of the team who headed to Finca Cortesin at the age of 30, she was one of the most experienced members of the team. Sadly, her presence couldn’t help USA to victory.
The world number 29 is a Titleist ambassador, so it’s no surprise to find out that all of her equipment is Titleist, but what models does Kang have in her bag?

What driver does Danielle Kang use?
Danielle Kang uses a Titleist TSR2 Driver (8°) with a Mitsubishi TENSEI 1K Pro Blue shaft
Kang has been very open about her struggles this season, but she still hits it very well (most of the time) off the tee and leaves herself in good positions - the key to scoring better.

What irons does Danielle Kang use?
Danielle Kang has a full set of Titleist 716 CB Irons (4-9) with Nippon NS Pro 950GH S shafts
It must be confidence and familiarity that keeps her going back to these irons because her GIR percentage on Tour this season has been quite low, at 63.31% she ranks 124th - is it time to take these out of the bag?
The 716 CB irons are no longer available to purchase, but you can pick up the newest model - Titleist 620 CB irons.
What wedges does Danielle Kang use?
Danielle Kang uses three Titleist Vokey Design SM7 Wedges (46°, 50°, and 54°) with <meta charset="utf-8">Nippon NS Pro 950GH S shafts
It's a similar story for wedge play as it is for every other element of Kang's game this season - very average. I'm sure she isn't playing with the same SM7s she was back in 2018, but it might be worth ditching them for the latest iteration.

Danielle Kang uses a special Titleist Vokey Design Prototype Wedge (58°) with a <meta charset="utf-8">Nippon NS Pro 950GH S shaft
What putter does Danielle Kang use?
With this being a personal putter you obviously can't find this exact club, but there are a few similar models. One of which is the Scotty Cameron Super Select Del Mar Putter.
