Si Woo Kim secured his first win in almost two years with his three-shot victory at the Sony Open, moving back into the world’s top 50 in the process.

The South Korean’s victory was his first as a married man and his first with a new caddie on the bag. Kim joined forces with Manny Villegas, brother of fellow PGA Tour winner Camilo Villegas, ahead of the 2022 Presidents Cup.

“I put too much pressure on myself and have high expectations,” Kim said. “With Manny, I’m trying to have a better attitude and trying to be less upset when I hit a bad shot.”

The Callaway staff player started the final day of the Sony Open three shots off the lead but a closing round of six-under-par, including birdies on the final two holes, proved enough to seal the win.

Kim plays a full bag of Callaway and Odyssey clubs as well as a Callaway Chrome Soft X ball having joined the brand in 2018 – the year after he became the youngest winner of The Players Championship.

2023 sees Kim playing the Paradym Triple Diamond driver and fairway woods and they seem to be working perfectly after only putting them in the bag this week!
