Bob MacIntyre has made quite an impression since turning pro at the end of 2017. However, those who saw him demolish Cameron Champ in the first round of singles at the Walker Cup at Cyprus Point that year got a strong indicator of his considerable talents.
Since then he has piled up a raft of top ten finishes on the DP World Tour and gained his maiden Tour victory in Cyprus at Aphrodite Hills in 2020.
The 26-year-old had to wait another two years for win No.2 but did it in style, beating US Open champion Matt Fitzpatrick in a play-off at the 2022 Italian Open at Marco Simone Country Club, the host venue for the 2023 Ryder Cup.
“This is what I want. This is my only goal for the season – to make that Ryder Cup team,” he said. “I think I’ve made a good start.”
MacIntyre registered a second-place finish at the 2023 Scottish Open, lifting him to 6 on the European Points List, 54 in the world rankings, and with it that converted place on Team Europe, one year on from his win in Rome.
The left-hander from Oban has also performed strongly in the Majors also, with sixth and eighth-place finishes at The Open in 2019 and 2021 respectively, along with a 12th-placed finish on his Masters debut in 2021.
MacIntyre is a TaylorMade staff player, who also games a Titleist driver and wedges. He signed a multi-year deal with Nike to wear the brand’s apparel at the end of 2021. Let’s take a look inside the 2023 bag of Scottish Ryder Cup player Robert MacIntyre.

The model that should be pinging the radar of lots of club golfers though is the new Stealth 2 HD. Our data shows it launches and flies higher, and spins more (800 RPM more) than both the standard and Plus model, traits that will help average-speed golfers keep shots in the air for longer to maximize distance and help stop shots once they hit the green.
