The Tour B RX golf balls are aimed at golfers with a driver swing speed slower than 105mph looking primarily to maximize distance off the tee but still want the feel of the best premium golf ball.

Bridgestone’s Tour B family of golf balls all incorporate the same technology but what exactly is this technology?
REACTIV iQ
This smart urethane cover technology is Bridgestone’s latest development for their Tour B ball family. The REACTIV iQ technology has been manufactured to react with the force of impact which delivers explosive, increased distance off the tee and control and spin around the green and when approaching.
Gradational Compression Core
For most golfers, the biggest killer is losing their balls left or right. The gradational compression core helps to decrease side spin but increase ball speed. This technology is extremely appreciated in the tour B RX golf balls.
Dual Dimple Technology
The dual dimple technology incorporated in the Tour B RX is also a feature of all the Tour B golf balls. It was first featured on the Bridgestone e5, e6, and e7 range and the success Bridgestone have enjoyed means they continue to sport this technology on their premium range of golf balls.
Seamless Cover Technology
Bridgestone’s seamless cover technology delivers consistent ball flight and enhances overall performance. Designed to optimize aerodynamic balance this technology creates a perfectly balanced dimple pattern.
Who uses Bridgestone Tour B RX golf balls?
Following Lexi Thompson’s split with Bridgestone in January 2024, no known professional golfers are playing with the Bridgestone Tour B RX golf balls. However, they do have an impressive handful of golfers playing their other golf balls. Because the Tour B RX is designed for golfers with a driver swing speed slower than 105mph there is perhaps understandably a lack of professional golfers using these balls.
Which Bridgestone Tour B golf ball should I play?
Bridgestone has four different balls available in their Tour B range so there is a ball to suit most golfers. Being the No.1 ball fitter in golf, Bridgestone strives to manufacture tour standard golf balls fit for the average golfer as well. The Tour B RX is aimed at golfers with a driver swing speed south of 105mph who want to maximize spin while still getting spin and control around the greens.
The Tour B RX obviously will not be the best option for every golfer but if you swing the driver slower than 105mph, want to maximise distance, improve spin and control around the greens then they may be the most suitable option for you.
Bridgestone does offer another ball for those who swing the driver slower than 105mph, the Tour B RXS which delivers more greenside spin and control. This ball is played by 1992 Masters Champion Fred Couples.
The Tour B X performs similarly to the Tour B RX but is aimed at golfers who swing the driver quicker than 105mph. These balls deliver lower launch and increased distance off the tee. These balls are played by serial Tour winners Jason Day and Matt Kuchar.
If you demand a higher ball flight from your balls while still offering exceptional distance the Tour B XS may be the balls you need. This ball is played by no other than 15-time Major Champion Tiger Woods. The balls also increase spin around the greens and on approach shots.

We applaud Bridgestone for making tour-optimized balls for golfers swinging driver at less than 105mph, but there’s absolutely no covering up our data doesn’t show either the RX or the RXS ripping up any trees.
Compared to Callaway’s ERC Soft (which has a hybrid cover, not a pure urethane cover) which targets a similar golfer, the RX is eight yards back when averaged across the two driver speeds (85 and 100mph) it was designed for, and a 7-iron.
Throw in wedge backspin performance that’s 911rpm down on the ERC Soft and a shot area that’s 16.5% bigger than its rival and you can see where we’d spend our cash.

Bridgestone Tour B RX availability
The Tour B RX is available in white and yellow. The balls are traditionally numbered 1 through 4 with red numbers.
