What we say...
The PowaKaddy RX1 range includes the world’s first touchscreen remote-controlled GPS trolley and the lightest lithium battery on the market.
PowaKaddy revealed their sleek premium RX1 trolleys at the start of 2023 and our testing ranked them among the best golf carts and best electric golf trolleys available.
The stealth matt black RX1 and RX1 GPS boast a slimline remote-control handset with a powerful 50-meter range, giving golfers complete wireless control of their electric trolley.
Additionally, the swivel front wheel offers smooth maneuvering in all conditions, while the Slope Traverse Assist (STA) helps to keep the trolleys stable on all terrains. The trolleys also feature PowaKaddy’s electronic downhill control (EBS) system and all-terrain wheels, meaning you can play the most undulating courses with complete confidence. Both trolleys are 20% smaller than their predecessors and fold with one click.
Smallest battery
High-performance low profile PowaFrame chassis’ are driven by twin 30v 230w near-silent motors, with PowaKaddy’s RX-specific next-generation Lithium 30v Max Plug ’n’ Play XL-Plus battery powering the RX1 trolleys. The battery is 40% smaller and 20% more powerful than previous models and is the thinnest, lightest, and most powerful Lithium battery on the market. It is fully IP66 water and dust rated to give you complete confidence in all conditions.
Both the PowaKaddy RX1 and RX1 GPS, which are top picks in our guide to the Best PowaKaddy Trolleys, use 3.5-inch full-color screens and come packed with useful tech, including a smartphone/GPS charging port, an anti-tip rear wheel, a height-adjustable soft touch handle, and automatic distance function, which allows you to send your trolley on ahead.
There’s also a calorie counter so you can justify that post-round pint, an anti-tamper button, and you can switch between meters, yards, MPH and KPH depending on your preference.
Peace of mind
An electric golf trolley is a big investment and the PowaKaddy RX1 starts at £1199.99 but you can enjoy you complete peace of mind with a two-year warranty on the trolley and a five-year (pro rata) warranty on the battery. In our experience of PK products, you won’t have the need to use either.

The PowaKaddy RX1 gives you everything you’ll find in the RX1 GPS except, as the name suggests, the GPS. You get the same remote control and functionality, including the 3.5” high visibility, full-color widescreen, it just isn’t touchscreen and you won’t be able to access the mapping of more than 40,000 worldwide golf courses.
If you already own one of the best golf GPS devices, which can easily be attached to the RX1, or you prefer to use a golf watch or rangefinder, then this is more likely to be the right model for you.
