Royal Portrush Golf Club (Valley Course)

What we say
Royal Portush’s second course obviously can’t match the Dunluce but it’s still one of the best golf courses in the area in its own right.
You can see some of the Valley course at Royal Portrush from the Dunluce links and if you haven’t already booked a round on the ‘second’ course, the site of what you could be enjoying tends to make you try to squeeze it into your itinerary.

Not as explosive as the Open venue, but a seriously good links too – and despite losing two of its holes on the most explosive landscape to the Dunluce in order to host The Open, the Valley has actually improved.

Martin Ebert worked on this Harry Colt original while creating the new holes on the No.1 and has raised it up a notch in our eyes.
The valley sits among its own wonderful sand hills and offers a fabulous mix of exacting holes and charming ones.
There are several world-class par 3s and short par 4s that live long in the memory.
