Trump Turnberry and leading PGA Professional and broadcaster Andrew Murray – a former winner on the DP World Tour – have joined forces to set up two three-day instruction clinics at the resort’s state-of-the-art teaching academy.
Both clinics will follow the same itinerary with rounds on all three courses at Turnberry – the championship Ailsa, King Robert the Bruce, and nine-hole Arran. Expert tuition on all aspects of the game will be on hand from Murray and Turnberry’s team of onsite teaching professionals, with interactive Q&A sessions and a strong emphasis on maintaining and improving golf fitness by Natalie Lowe from Pro-Fit Golf Conditioning.
Each three-day clinic will culminate in guests having the opportunity to play one of their bucket-list golf courses with 18 holes on the world-famous Ailsa – a four-time host of the Open Championship. Originally designed by Willie Fernie, a redesign following the Second World War by Mackenzie Ross brought the layout up to the required standard to host top-level professional and amateur golf, with the Open visiting in 1977, 1986, 1994, and 2009.
Already hailed as a links masterpiece and one of the game’s most iconic venues, Martin Ebert’s redesign in 2016 was met with further critical acclaim, and many argue that today’s Ailsa stands alone as the finest golfing test in the British Isles as well as one of the best courses in the world.
The two teaching clinics will run between Monday April 8 to Friday April 12, with a key focus on helping to support and develop women’s golf in ‘The Turnberry Masters Women’s Pairs – with hosts Andrew Murray and Natalie Lowe’, from April 8-10. The Turnberry Masters Pairs – with hosts Andrew Murray and Natalie Lowe’ will then run from April 10-12, which is open to women, men, or mixed pairs.
To complement the world-class golf offering, guests will also enjoy two nights’ accommodation at Trump Turnberry’s luxurious villas, with dinner and breakfast included. There will also be a self-catering option (breakfast not included) at the resort’s beautifully presented cottages – which are perfect for small groups.

Andrew Murray has become one of the most respected PGA teaching professionals in the UK following a successful playing career, while also making the seamless transition into broadcasting where he is a regular contributor to BBC Five Live’s golf coverage. He also works in golf course design consultancy and is a regular on the after-dinner speaking circuit.
Andrew said: “Turnberry is without doubt one of the most special places to play the game of golf and is rightly credited and hailed as being one of the world’s finest golf resorts, with its iconic Ailsa course the standout attraction.
“Our teaching clinics will of course help cover the fundamentals to improve your game but will have a specific focus on how to play links golf. Having worked with Turnberry for several years I can say firsthand just how good the teaching facilities are and there are few better locations anywhere in the world to learn and play the game.”
Natalie Lowe, a former professional who played on the LET Access Series, founded Pro-Fit Golf Conditioning in 2014, to help all players improve their golfing capacity through means of golf-specific fitness training.
Natalie said: “Never before has fitness played such a key role in the game of golf, with the athletic nature of the golf swing putting huge strain on the body – not to mention the distance covered during a round.
“Our ethos is to work individually and closely with golfers to ensure they become stronger and more mobile, as well as remaining injury-free. Each golfer swings the club differently, and so we cannot treat everyone as equals. Our clinics at Turnberry will help golfers of all abilities improve their games by working on their physical fitness.”
The Turnberry Golf Academy is recognized as one of the best teaching facilities in Scotland. Players can sharpen up their game under the guidance of Turnberry’s PGA teaching professionals with one of golf’s most famous backdrops in the distance, with the Isle of Arran in sight and the mysterious Ailsa Craig looming large, as well as the world-famous Turnberry Lighthouse.
Technology is at the forefront of the Academy’s success. Players can hone their putting using the fantastic Science and Motion – ‘SAM’ – analysis that details every facet of your stroke.
Two teaching bays offer a range of custom instruction and fitting options, with Trackman dual radar technology, together with ‘Gasp’s’ three slow-motion cameras, to record and fully allow the teaching professional to advise you on every aspect of your swing. Meanwhile, a ‘True Spec’ fitting service provides a truly brand-agnostic service that, from a matrix of 30,000 shaft and head combinations, will fit you with a bespoke club selection unique to your needs.
Package prices start at £625 per person for the self-catering option, while a twin-room villa option is £775 per person and single-room villa occupancy £1,100 per person. Prices cover two nights’ accommodation for all, with golf included on the Ailsa, King Robert the Bruce, and Arran, as well as teaching clinics.
