Titleist are the brains behind some of the best golf balls on the market, with options for golfers of all abilities.
New for 2024, Titleist’s fourth generation of Tour Soft golf balls will be hoping to continue challenging the best amateur-level golf balls. Despite only being a two-piece construction, Tour Soft golf balls tend to perform much better than the best golf balls for beginners and high-handicappers.
Tour Soft are undoubtedly one of Titleist’s best golf balls because they appeal to a wide range of golfers. They present decent value compared to golf balls of a similar standard, but they aren’t cheap – costing more than £30/$35 per dozen.
If you’ve previously played with Tour Soft golf balls, you might have noticed they do lack greenside performance. However, Titleist have set about rectifying this for 2024.

The new faster, larger core in the 2024 Tour Soft helps to deliver faster ball speed and reduces spin in the long game, which in turn increases distance. The new and improved core also contributes to the fantastic soft feel.
Reformulated thin fusablend cover
In order to improve short-game performance in the new Tour Soft golf balls, Titleist have introduced a reformulated thin fusablend cover. This new cover provides more dependable greenside spin for brilliant short-game control.
346 quadrilateral dipyramid dimple design
Offering an efficient aerodynamic package thanks to the 346 quadrilateral dipyramid dimple design the Tour Soft flies at an optimal ball flight to generate longer distance.

Which Titleist golf ball should I play?
Titleist have eight golf balls to choose from, all suited to particular golfers. Whether you enjoy playing with the best premium golf balls or the best distance golf balls the golf giants have you covered.
If you want to play with the No.1 ball in golf, then look no further than the Titleist Pro V1. There are three models of the Pro V1 (Pro V1, Pro V1x, and Pro V1 Left Dash) and they all have slightly different properties. Another golf ball in Titleist’s premium range is the AVX which has a lower compression.
Titleist offers two brilliant amateur-level golf balls – Tour Speed and Tour Soft. These golf balls are brilliant for those who don’t quite have the swing speed to play with premium golf balls or want to spend over £4/$4 but enjoy the feel and performance.
There are two Titleist golf balls to pick from in the beginner to high handicap category of golf balls – TruFeel or Velocity. Both offer outstanding distance and brilliant value for money. TruFeel boasts fantastic feel for a cheap golf ball.
Titleist Tour Soft availability
The 2024 Tour Soft is available in white, yellow, green, and pink. The balls will be numbered as standard from 1-4. You’ll be able to get your hands on the white, yellow, and green Tour Soft golf balls from January 24 in most parts of the world. However, for those of you in the UK, you’ll have to wait until February 2, with the pink golf balls set for release in July 2024.
Tour Soft golf balls will be available to purchase from a number of retailers and online at an RRP of £34.00 / $39.99; an amazing price for such a great golf ball from tee to green.
