Golf Escapes 2021: The best golf breaks in the UK and abroad
Published: Last updated:
Plan your perfect golf break with our annual Golf Escapes guide to the best getaways both on UK shores and overseas.
There is every chance this is the most welcome edition of Golf Escapes we have ever produced.

We created it while we couldn’t go on any golf breaks and, in many cases, couldn’t even play at our home club.
Thankfully, by the time it came out, we were all able to play somewhere, and the prospect of travelling vaguely normally again is on the horizon with Portugal already accepting visitors from Britain.
So, with all our thoughts focussed on taking what will for many be their first golf break in possibly two years, there has never been a better time to publish a guide to a selection of the best options around the world.
After the year we have had, flicking through this guide will surely have never felt more welcome.

If you prefer staying in the UK and Ireland this year, we have the most varied selection imaginable – whatever you fancy for 2021, there will be something for you.
If you want to head abroad, we have that covered too. There is an especially strong Continental European section, taking in traditional favourites such as Portugal, Spain and Belek as well as emerging golf powerhouses like Switzerland, Bulgaria and Hungary.

If you want to be a little more adventurous, we provide that too, with some outstanding winter sun options that won’t break the bank and don’t take a day’s travelling to get to.
There is also a full guide to planning the perfect golf getaway, an overview of the Golf World Top 100 rankings that are now housed within Today’s Golfer, and even a giveaway.
Without further ado, let the daydreaming begin, because after 12 months we won’t be sad to see the back of, golf holidays are back again.
